Bluecoats April Camp

Hola, como estan? This is a beautiful Tuesday here in the city of Kingsville, Texas. Yeah right, its fucking humid. Well anyway, whats up? Im here at the Library working on a lesson plan for fucking string class. This past camp was the shit, or it was off the chain, or it was tight. LOL,..or like cody says, it was crucial. Well let me begin*(hums an "A") Camp starts on Friday, but I had a final Friday morning, and for some reason, TAMUK decides on having finals on Saturday. So sure enough, I had a final Saturday @ 8am. So blah blah blah, I was done with it, Ernie gave me a ride to the Corpus Christi airport. I got there, and checked in. Well tried to check in, a manager had to like override the system so I could print my ticket, well after all the hassle, I get it and then try to go through security, well they told me, "ur airline has randomally selected you for further screening. Well I did the usual, took off my shoes, well this guy freaking patted me down, and they went through all my bags..etc. So then yeah, I had no guns, explosives, etc. and made it through, I board the jet, which is tiny, and sit next to this lady that had her grandchild. It was fun, we then arrived at Houston like in 35 minutes. I then get off, and had to walk, take a train, and finally arrive to my terminal. I had a small pizza on the way, I then chill, for like an hour, then finally board. I just waited for the drink, I got OJ, and the snack, a sandwich smaller then my fist. And boom, crashed out. I then woke up 2 hours later, somewhere over Ohio. We had already started our descend, so while I was asleep my ears didn't no "POP" so they basically I was deaf for like 10 minutes, It's a scary feeling. When then land, I get off, walk out of the concourse, and wait. We landed like at 745, and they were supposed to pick me up at 815. I then wait outside the airport for like 30minutes, and finally decide to call the corps director. No answer, I then call his wife, she answers, and says, there going for you guys like at 11. And she says, there is someone there waiting too, his name is pat. I walk in, and there was pat. He's a first year bluecoats member, plays trumpet, and has previous drum corps experience. We were both starving, and took a shuttle to this hotel around the corner and had dinner. We go back, and finally, the pick us up. We then drove an hour to this little tiny town called perry,  oh. Arrived like at midnight, and well I get my crap off the van, go to the gym, scared gummy. Lol he, was just laying there, all solo and shit. I just threw my phone on the area around his pipi. He freaked out, and then yeah, we spoke, said hi to like 10 other people, took a shower, and then crashed out.

At 7am, the front ensemble played to opener, It actually woke me up, and I listened to all of it. I was awesome, then the usual, and my favorite part, the drum major yells, "good morning Bluecoats". I then get my crap rounded up, set aside, and then go outside to the "Chuck truck" for some breakfast. *(the chuck truck is a kitchen that is a semi trailer). We then have a meeting from 8-830, stretch 830-9. ANd then go outside to "review drill" basically everything I missed. I learn chunks here and there. That practice ran from 9-12:30. That field was really nice, much nicer that sac. We then break for lunch, an hour 1230-130, i was good. ANd the go warm up, finally playing a note at 130 and that ran all the way till 4. Camp was over, put my beautiful horn away, took a shower, the van took off at 530, arrived at the airport at 630, along the way I met more people, checked in, went through security, I was not "randomally selected this time"went through, had some sabarro, and chilled till about 820. Lol, they had gummy scare shitless. Tey told him that they had overbooked, and he might to leave till Monday, but luckily there was someone nice enough that volunteered their seat, I then waited for the drink, and little sandwich, fell asleep, woke up somewhere over texas, landed in SA, got our crap(bags) and my mom picked us up. I ended up driving to laredo, fucking half asleep, dropped of my mom, then gummy at his fucking rancho way the fuck the other side Laredo, got back home, and finally fell asleep after having a snack at 330. Woke up at like almost  3 in the afternoon, ate, then my mom dropped me off at Kingsville, and well, here I am.

I took some pics, there online, check them out..

Isn't this neat. check it out, you think we pay a lot for gas..haha. Wait till you see how much some pay, and how little, like .14 a gallon. http://money.cnn.com/pf/features/lists/global_gasprices/price.html

Interesting, I'm doing a paper for a class, its half of my final grade, thanks to josh I have an idea on what to do. Right now im supposed to be in Ohio for camp. But since tamuk has finals on saturday, im stuck here. I have that final at 8am, and will fly out of corpus at noon, arrive at Ohio at 8, and then arrive at camp at 9. Then basically sleep there, play some on sunday, march, and then come back at 8pm. Arrive at San Antonio at about 11pm. I will go home to Laredo, my mom is going to fiesta and will pick me up. As for now, Ill be gone, I have to finish this damn thing.

Have a great weekend,

J.J.

P.S. Im taking my camera this time to camp. I will take some shots, and put them on here.
